Only ten squares to go

I spent many years working at The Globe theatre on London’s South Bank. One year, we were the first all female company. During the long (and sometimes boring technical rehearsals) we spent many an hour knitting squares to make blankets for various babies expected by members of the company. Much loved gifts for on-stage and off-stage members. To this day, I carry-on square making as it is the only thing I can knit!

My first solo blanket was for Sunshine (pictured) a couple of winters back. She loved the blanket so much it is now shredded. With lockdown upon us I’m cracking on with a replacement – only 10 more squares to go and a new blanket will be yours my friend.
