Familiar surroundings help make us feel secure. It’s just the same for your dog. A salon can be a noisy, stressful environment so home grooming (your place or mine) is a wonderful alternative. It allows puppies to gain confidence and old timers to, well, take their time. Each dog has my undivided attention with noContinue reading “Home from Home”

England’s Little Winner
Florence lifted my heart this morning. Street dog rescued from Montenegro who was proudly wearing her England flag when I arrived to groom. Very newly homed & seems to have settled in amazingly well after only a week. She showed such trust with her owner and I on a first foray intro grooming – itContinue reading “England’s Little Winner”
Have table, will travel
Groomalicious is a relatively new but perfectly formed business. The whole idea is built on my love of dogs and a belief in doing things properly – which is why I’m trained to OCN Level 3 in Dog Grooming. I’ve chosen to groom at your home or mine because I believe it is great forContinue reading “Have table, will travel”
The Man with the Pants on
Such wonderful memories this time of year of Chester, The Man With the Pants On, alias Buster Keaton. He was the first Staffie I fell in love with. Like so many of our favourite friends, he went by many names. Wonderful coat markings gave him the appearance of a mighty weightlifter from an old fashionedContinue reading “The Man with the Pants on”
Only ten squares to go
I spent many years working at The Globe theatre on London’s South Bank. One year, we were the first all female company. During the long (and sometimes boring technical rehearsals) we spent many an hour knitting squares to make blankets for various babies expected by members of the company. Much loved gifts for on-stage andContinue reading “Only ten squares to go”
From the Stage to the Cutting Room Floor
I love dogs. Always have. They’re my soul mate. Best friends. Someone you can always turn to, depend on and share fun times with.
So, when it came to the scary step of changing career in my fifties after a life time on the stage, it had to be something to do with dogs. Not just dog walking (I already do that) or house-sitting (love doing that) but something for their health and well-being. After all, they need someone to take care of them, give them a voice, look into their eyes and see what they need.
Bright Eyes
People often ask what makes a health dog. The simple answer is the signs are everywhere. We love being close to our four-legged friends and they need your care and attention. When your dog is used to being handled, they are easier to be around and looked after. Grooming helps makes dogs more sociable andContinue reading “Bright Eyes”
My Little Beauty
My first love was Jess. Then Jess 2. Ben came next. Followed closely by Ella.
Mucky Pups Rule
My Brother loves his Lottie but, she does test his patience. There’s nothing more she loves that running wild, tracking down banana skins and diving into deep dark puddles. Beautiful eyes and gorgeous coat but, you have to see the shedding to believe it. He’s even bought a robot vacuum to deal with the constantContinue reading “Mucky Pups Rule”
